The Chaler- RODS House has also been made possible through charitable donations. The house is named after Boo and Tutti Chaler and The Red River Street Rod Association (RODS).  RODS holds car shows that raise money to support the Percy Johnson Burn Foundation.

The Chaler-Rods House opened in June 2003 and provides lodging and support for out-of-town relatives of patients treated at the LSUHSC Regional Burn Center.  Located within walking distance from LSUHSC the House is a "home away from home" and provides all the comforts (and responsibilities) of a "family."  The house has a communal kitchen/dining space, laundry area, and 3 fully furnished bedrooms.  The Chaler-Rods House has been made possible by charitable donations.  It does not receive federal, state, or city funds.  Donations are gladly accepted.
